GP40

C&O 4065 is a GP-40. This model is the beginning of the smooth running Atlas mechanisms. Although not decoder ready, they could easily be converted by either milling out the frame to put in a small DN-14x or Lenz decoder. I plan on using a Lenz decoder.

Images of the prototype once again can be found on Dean Heacock's Trainweb Chessie site. If you look at the images, there should be a bell on the conductor side just in front of the dynamic brakes. Cab shades should also be done. The battery cover on the engineer side should have a "mailbox slot installed.
