CSXT 9024

CSXT 9024 is a representation of a C44-9W. Its made by Kato, equiped with Digitrax decoder and Micro-Trains 2004 couplers. I've weathered with chalk and sprayed with Dullcote. A good running model, however, it is not accurate for the number that Kato put on the shell. The biggest discrepency is the trucks. If you look at the closeup of 9024 on Wes Reminder's web page, you can see that the trucks should be replaced. I guess the model could be made more accurate by using the side frames from a Bachman C40-8. The prototype also has sunshades which I need to put on yet. Overall, this is a good model, and if you can overlook the minor protoype flaws, it is a great addition to your CSX fleet.
