Walthers Paper Mill

I made some progress over the Christmas holidays getting the paper mill finsished and weatherd. It now occupies a 1x5 section of the layout that will eventually form an industrial branch that consists of the paper mill complex and another mine further down the line.
The  image is a close up of the two mill buildings. They are built out of the box without any modifications. I painted the main mill building with brown oxide acrylic crafter paint, then weathered with white, brown and black chalks

This image is looking at the other end of the complex. The tall building was weathered only with chalks .. using brown and black.

 
This is an overview of the entire complex.
13 April 2003 - Some progress since the images above were made .. there is now a road, the track has been laid (Atlas code 55), and a hand laid # 6 turnout was put into place.
13 April 2003 - Another angle .. the bulkead flat is a scratch built model made out of styrene, with Intermountain trucks and couplers .. It's more of a static model than anything else ..
